Copper futures fell by Rs. 13.60 to Rs. 1,294.90 per kg on Friday as subdued demand in the domestic spot market weighed on prices.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), July copper contracts declined 1.04% to Rs. 1,294.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,543 lots.
According to traders, muted demand from key consuming industries in the domestic market led participants to trim positions, putting pressure on copper prices.
