Indian benchmark indices gave up part of their early gains as weakness in IT stocks dragged sentiment, while investors kept a close eye on the results of assembly elections across four states and one union territory.
At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77283.7 up by 370.2 points or by 0.48 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24139 up by 141.45 points or by 0.59 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 77910.75 and intraday low of 76939.54 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24290.2 and intraday low of 24004.75
