Sensex and Nifty recovered from their afternoon lows to trade modestly higher on Wednesday, supported by gains in oil & gas, banking and consumer durable stocks.
At 14:18 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77192.45 up by 137.51 points or by 0.18 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24077.4 up by 25.35 points or by 0.11 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 77646.27 and intraday low of 76982.82 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24220.35 and intraday low of 24010.55
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 295.40,+3.30%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11790.00,+2.60%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1020.00,+1.34%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1503.20,+1.31%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5169.65,+1.16%), among others.
