Indices trade in the green with Nifty around 11,550

Domestic bourses opened higher on Friday supported by buying in auto and banks stocks.

Among individual stocks, Essel Propack share price fell over 5 percent after Blackstone eyes selling stake in the packaging firm. The world’s biggest alternative asset manager is looking to sell a large chunk of its shareholding in the packaging firm through block trades. The deal could fetch the investor as much as USD 251 million.

At 9:38 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 38979.85 down by -323 points or by -0.82 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11563.3 up by 47.2 points or by 0.41 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 39234.81 and intraday low of 38926.34 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11584.1 and intraday low of 11550.9

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 527.00,+2.96%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 800.25,+1.69%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 1199.05,+1.40%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 403.75,+1.27%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2033.10,+1.23%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2106.95,-0.98%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3007.70,-0.38%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 7067.40,-0.26%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 16095.20,-0.17%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1303.35,-0.15%), among others.

Among the sectors, IT index was at 16465.01 up by 84.67 points or by 0.52%. Ramco Systems Ltd. (Rs. 378.05,+5.00%), Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 49.00,+4.48%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd.
