EmkayGlobal Financial Services IFSC Private Limited (EFSIPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emkay Global Financial Services Ltd (EGFSL). Emkay Global along with its four subsidiaries provides a wide gamut of financial services and solutions like investment banking, institutional equities, private client broking, Depository Services, Mutual Fund & IPO distribution, Commodities Broking, insurance broking among others.

EFSIPL is formed by EGFSL to operate from the GIFT City of Gujarat to offer financial services relating to securities market in the IFSC. EFAIPL will be governed by SEZ Act and Rules and will be entitled to incentives available to SEZ units such as exemption in taxes, Income Tax Holidays, GST, reduced rate of MAT etc.

About IFSC

India’s first International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) has been set up in the “Gujarat International Finance Tech- City” (GIFT City) at Gandhinagar in the State of Gujarat with the basic infrastructure and other facilities. BSE Limited (BSE) and National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) have set up international exchanges over there. GIFT city, which is a special economic zone, shall host India's first international financial services centre.

This proposed new exchange is intended to grow the financial market as well as expected to bring capital into India. Stock exchanges operating in the GIFT IFSC will be permitted to offer trading in securities in any currency other than the Indian rupee. Subject to SEBI approval, trading will be permitted in equity shares of companies incorporated outside of India, depository receipts, debt securities of eligible issuers, currency, index, interest rate and non-agriculture commodity derivatives and all categories of exchange traded products that are available for trading in stock exchanges in FATF/ IOSCO complaint jurisdiction.
