Zinc prices on Thursday declined 40 paise to Rs 328.30 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions, following weak cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery fell by 40 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 328.30 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 78 lots.
Analysts said the decline in zinc futures was mainly due to traders cutting down their positions amid weaker demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
