Zinc prices edged lower by 55 paise to Rs 326.60 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday, as speculators trimmed positions amid weak cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery contracts declined by 55 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 326.60 per kg, with a turnover of 78 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market, prompting participants to reduce their exposure.
