Indian equity benchmarks, the Nifty 50 and Sensex, opened higher, tracking positive cues from Asia-Pacific markets, even as investors remain watchful of evolving US-Iran tensions.

At 9:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77325.12 up by 693.47 points or by 0.9 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23948.6 up by 173.5 points or by 0.73 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 77330.44 and intraday low of 76851.16 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23978.7 and intraday low of 23856.35

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2351.85,+3.64%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1312.60,+2.49%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1347.75,+2.21%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 921.40,+1.97%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1799.00,+1.80%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1663.65,-3.13%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1291.50,-3.00%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2514.30,-2.84%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1437.70,-1.88%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1436.00,-1.74%), among others.
