1) The USFDA approved Emerge Bioscience’s Garzulys (insulin aspart), a biosimilar to NovoLog. Meitheal holds exclusive US commercialization rights under its agreement with Emerge Bioscience (relevant for Biocon).
2) Amgen’s biosimilar portfolio grew 29% yoy to $855mn, led by Pavblu (Aflibercept) sales of $287mn, up 121% yoy (relevant for Biocon and Lupin). Prolia/Xgeva sales declined 33% yoy to $1.1bn amid biosimilar competition (relevant for Biocon, Dr Reddy’s, and Aurobindo).
